The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Gave women the right to vote.
Women were the last to be able to vote in America, they fought long and hard for this right. They thought that they should have the same rights as any man.
The School House Rock video talks about how all that was expected of women was to take care of the house and kids, but they were not good enough to vote. And how the woman's suffrage movement started.
