4th amendment

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This amendment ensures the security of: persons, houses, papers and effects from unreasonable search and seizer. Police must have a warrant to search. It says that police can't arrest anyone they want just because.

Warntless Search and Seizuer

Some rights have been taken away in past years to "protect" the American public. But these steps that have been taken have completely ruled out an entire amendment.

Andy Griffith Vs. the Partiot Act

The reason that Andy can not listen to the tape is because under the 4th amendment he needs a warrent. Police do not have the right to listen to your provate conversations without your knowledge.
